Azul Audio is Stephen L Summer, doing business as Azul Audio, in California, USA. This page explains what data we collect through azulaudio.com, when you buy from us, and when you activate our plugins. Questions or requests: support@azulaudio.com.
Purchases and your account
Checkout, customer accounts, licences and downloads are run by Moonbase (Moonbase AS, Norway). Moonbase is the merchant of record: it sells the product to you, takes payment and handles sales tax and VAT. To do that it collects your name, email address, billing address and payment details. We never see your full card details. We receive your name, email address, country and your order and licence details, and use them only to deliver your purchase, manage your licence and give support. Plugin activation (Transpose)
To activate a licence or trial and to re-check it from time to time, Transpose sends Moonbase a device identifier (a one-way hash of your computer's hardware identifiers; the identifiers themselves are not sent), your computer's name, your operating system and the plugin version. This lets us limit a licence to 3 computers and a trial to one per computer, and tell you when an update is available. The plugin sends no other usage data and does not track what you play or record.
We use your email address for your order, licence and support. We do not send marketing email unless you ask to receive it.
This website
azulaudio.com has no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, which receives your IP address to serve the pages. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address. The cart, checkout and account features load Moonbase's script, which may store cookies or local data needed for your cart and sign-in.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep order and licence records while your account exists and for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Ask us and we will delete the rest.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it, by emailing us. We reply within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority. California residents have the same rights under the CCPA; we do not sell or share personal information.
Where data is processed
We are in the USA; Moonbase is in Norway (EEA); GitHub and Google are in the USA. Your data may be transferred between these countries.
Children
Our products are not directed at children under 13, or under 16 in the EU.
Changes
If we change this page, we update the date at the top.
